      Juror's Comment

      From Brian Cassey:

"Ronald has produced an image of the urban sprawl in Shanghai that uses an elevated view point and a simple element to both confuse and challenge the viewer. The stark choice of black and white and an intriguing composition makes this a highly effective image … and a stark illustration that, as Ronald say’s in the title, things in China continue to reach Still Higher."

"I mainly shoot b&w pictures, street photography and when I see a nice landscape I can’t resist to shoot it… This picture was shot at my last day in Shanghai. After spending 5 days in the crowdy streets of Shanghai, I decide to take a bit of height, to see where I’ve been during these 5 days. I start to shoot some panoramic views, when suddenly, this hook appear in front of me. An other tower was building; 'still higher'…

"The picture was shot in 2013, with a Nex 6 camera, 16-50 mm lens at 50 mm with a pola filter,1/80 sec, F:11, iso 200"
