Artist Statement
Angel Falls, Canaima National Park, Estado Bolivar, Venezuela
"Camping in front of the world's highest waterfall; I could not sleep this particular night, I don't remember being able to see a night with stars this brilliant before. At times raining, to then have the cleanest sky showcasing the stars at its best. From my hammock, I just thought 'how can I capture this?'... Well, at 3am I decided to photograph, regardless whether the technical qualities of the image were enough to portrait the moment. This is how I remember it!"
